Sex Update (Part 1.5): The Feedback One (U0.2.7)

Hello again!

While working on the second part of the Sex Update we’ve been paying close attention to your feedback. Based on that, we decided to put out an in-between update to address some of the top requests!

Overall, the feedback has been very positive but we’ve noticed a few requests popping up again and again: bringing back the previous scenes, with special emphasis of on their intros, and adding variable sex intensity.

While we would’ve loved to keep the old animations around, they were built for a different system and don’t quite fit with the new one. Whilst it would’ve technically been possible to adjust them to work with the new system, it’d be tough to make them work smoothly with it.

Nevertheless, we couldn’t just ignore this request. So, all current sex scenes now have an intro scene again. Instead of the intros always leading directly into the actual sex scene we’ve decided to be a bit more creative with it. Fan favorites like Poppi’s smooches & choking Misty make a return!

We hope you enjoy these changes, and we’re excited to bring you even more soon!

Oh yeah, and the sex intensity is now variable :)

XOXO MonsterBox

Great stuff, but the loss of first-person scenes in the security office made it lose a lot of points for me. Any chance you could add them as an optional view, as they were genuinely impressive, and set this game apart from many others like it. Either way, will be updating my old review with more stars, for the little bit that may be worth.

I like this update a lot makes the scenes in the Security Office a lot more fun.

is there any difference between this one and the steam version?

The update has been really good! I only recently picked up the game so I was surprised by how much i've come back for the gameplay.

A couple of things I'd like to see:

Nightclub

Some sort of easier way to see the two lower rooms in the nightclub. I kept mixing up the heart and club room because you don't have a direct visual on them from the security room.

Some more scene replays of the nightclub scenes. Being only able to see them or the room scenes during gameplay means we can't see alot of the action.

Could the cart move faster? Or a quick turn? I know it's intentionally difficult to move but because its so slow I use the quick repair instead of the games (arrows/frogger) because I needed the time to move.

I'm surprised Misty the shark doesn't appear in the club. Security mentions shes at a show, and the character grid in the nightclub fits 5 of 6 slots.

Could gallery unlocks spawn in this mode? If it does I didn't notice, but it could be another reason to use the cart.

Security

More scene replays. Like the nightclub, only seeing the scenes on loss is a bit annoying.

The centre room doesn't have an interaction. Same with the long hallway (except for night 12) I know the old version had some sort of block to repair.

I had to look up the microwave interaction, I couldn't see it initially due to the lighting and not mousing around the room.

A Maddie scene would be nice in Security.

That's it! I really liked this, I don't say that often about Hentai games. I've actually returned to it for the gameplay, so i'm looking forward to more games in the future, (Some sort of version of Observation Duty or Papers Please maybe?)

Games is great fun and balanced well, but I feel it need's a free cam mode in nightclub room's and possibly I feel a VIP/arcade lounge mode with a pole dance then for free play of animations etc would be awesome

manual slider on the animations is much appreciated! the intros scenes are very fun, really like Sammy's. love this update!

I have mostly been unhappy with the updates, but I feel more interested with this one now.

Personally, I am here for jumpscares like one seen in the YouTube video with some smut mixed in so "Security Room" is what I am more invested in. Night Club seems inconsequential seeing how girls can waltz in and there is no Game Over. Not to mention they could use some quick and effective jumpscare too in my opinion.

Either way, I like that we got something approaching jumpscares for the "Security Room" mode. It is still rough, but it is a good start. Not to mention some good first NSFW scenes. I think it would be good to have things be more sudden and faster moving. At least the way girls can simply stand outside lazily for a long time feels a bit strange. The window is way too large even on Night 1 and 2. I haven't played further than those two nights, mainly because of the Shark Girl.

I have no idea who she is or where she is coming from which leads to a problem. There is not enough exposition about the girls. Nile is the only one I have an idea why she moves. On that note, Nile disabling cameras is nice, but can those be repaired again? Sammy (or was that the name of the cat girl?) seems more random with the only piece of information is shaking ones head when she appears in front of you. I feel this sequence could be done better. She doesn't seem ready to pounce or flinches sufficiently away, not to mention I am wondering why shaking around works.

Bunny girl I assume has something to do with Sanity? I have no idea what Sanity does aside from the cameras taking a moment to show their footage if it is too low. Again, there needs to be more explanation. I have no idea where Shark Girl comes from or that she even existed seeing how I only ever saw her once Game Over came.

The tasks might need explanation too. Flipping robots back up is clear and the valve thing is fine too, even though the room it is in should be noted, but the cork board leaves me scratching my head. There is no cork board in the room as far as I can see. I believe it is three notes on the wall? Not sure how to interpret them. There seems to be buttons in one room but they aren't exactly usable and I don't know when they are usable.

The mode is confusing. I think less girls should be around on the first and second night. It might be better to add them slowly like the original FNAF so that the player can be explained just what kind of quirks they have. Not to mention it would help to have some room to also get explained the tasks and what happens if they aren't fulfilled. Like what does a robot on its side do? Stinking is the only thing mentioned on the phone I believe which gives me no idea about its gameplay indications. Again, I have no idea about Sanity either. I mean, I can restore it thanks to the plush, but there needs to be more help.

I don't think a tutorial is needed, but having things explained and then slowly having tasks and girls added night after night would help to slowly learn the game and also help the player form a connection with each girl by learning about her more. Also curious about the history of this derelict place. No information was provided here as well seemingly. FNAF did that via some newspaper clip. Not sure if that is good or if something more original would be better.

Anyway, if the Devs actually read this, thank you for doing so. xD I am interested now to see how it develops and I hope this mode gets fleshed out a lot more. I see the potential.

(+1)

Will we get a gallery for sex scenes with the community animated gallery one?

(+2)

One thing that I always wish horror games like fnaf had was variable jumpscares, and there's probably an optimal way to do it.

They always have less impact after a few losses, so maybe the first jumpscare is always guaranteed to be set to default, but with each progressive jumpscare, the chances of getting a different scene increase, so that by 2-4 times of losing to a character, you get a second scene. Perhaps there is another even rarer scene that only happens 1 in 30 times to really catch you off guard, and can only becomes a possibility after you have gotten all the other scenes at least once or twice. If a player loses once, they might not necessarily lose to that same mistake again, but if a player is losing multiple times, they are probably going to continue struggling, so it makes sense to have scenes get progressively more rare.

Anyways, I've thought about stuff like this alot. Just another potential reason that In-heat will objectively be the fnaf-killer of all time.

FNAF-Killer seems a bit much. xD I mean, they are different games considering In-Heat is an NSFW title. Let's just love both titles equally. =3

Either way, I agree that variations of jumpscares could spice up the game. I feel like though the ones there should be polished up a bit first too. Not to mention the mechanics. The girls are standing way too long outside the doors which does ensure the jumpscares aren't surprising for the most part.

The Fnaf Killer thing was mostly a joke, but it is cool to see the gameplay improvements and design choices they make :P. (besides, fnaf already has the rule 34 covered.) Jumpscare thing does depend on how much work it would be, and what they are prioritizing, but considering it is an nsfw game, it seems a valid thing to put effort into. Interesting point on bringing up them standing outside the doors, I hadn't given that much though. Maybe its necessary since, unlike fnaf 1, you don't have the light switches, but it might be interesting to have them stay in the hallway for longer, and cut the time spent near the doors in half, That could incentivize players to spend more time in the screens preparing for cycles and less of their focus on simply reacting. There should be a right balanced where you don't feel caught totally off-guard, but are also surprised to see them if you weren't properly prepared and expecting them.

(+1)

Yeah. When they are in the door, it should be tense and not them standing there for a minute straight. xD The lighting is an interesting point. I suppose it is bright enough to see them easily which can be trouble for the door sequences. Hard to say if maybe a bit lower lighting could be interesting or playing with the idea of shadows. Either way, I imagine movements could help. There is bunny girl for example glued to the window and I think it would be interesting if she suddenly jumped away. Just to show dynamic movement to signify them as threats.
